I have a "Tiny" portable DVD and am told the laser needs replacing, but I cant get any one to do it and as its out of warrenty "Time" were not interested. Any suggestions?

Replacing the laser is likely to be uneconomic. The laser is probably the most expensive component. Make sure you get an accurate quote if you do get someone to do this.
