How can I fix an air block in my pipes?

I have just fitted an new shower and now have no cold water down stairs and only a lttle upstairs I think it is an airblock?

Your cold water is usually mains fed so to get air locked is almost impossible, unless your bathroom is tank fed cold. But your kitchen sink should be mains pressure. Need to know before i can think of an answer.
