how do i fix my makita dpc 7301 petrol cutter it fires but wont run before it broke down it kept on back firing so i changed the plug and filters and now it tries to start but wont run at all. could it be a filter that i have missed?

Spark plug is probably sooted up from all the misfiring or the carbon (soot) is soaked in unburnt fuel. Take plug out and clean it or leave out for a while to let the fuel evaporate and then try again.
