i have a mitsubishi hd 1080 series?

i get lines in the screen from left to right while im watching tv,can you please tell me whats the cause to that problem and how to fix it. thank you.

Is this tv running thru any type of de-coder(sky box/freeview).
If so try the tv from a direct source, terestrial signal or a dvd.
