my boiler will not fire up unless i tap the bottom of the boiler it will work then untill i use hot water then goes off again have checked electrics they all ok for now im persevering just tapping bottom of boiler to get heat and hot water

by baqnging the casing you are probably making contact for the pressure switch. switch off boiler . look through manual to locate pressure switch , generally has two rubber hoses connected to it. try blowing through rubber tubes to clear any obstruction. they will also have a small restricter built in the tube. blow down then replace back.replace cover ,switch on power & try again.
