I cannot use "spelling" when i want to write a new message?

When i go into "create mail" in outlook express, the "new message" box appears but the "spelling" box along the top row does not light up for me to use, so after i have wrote a letter i'am unable to spell check it.

try typing in" spell checker download for outlook express" and see what comes up into your search area
