Will a Loft Aerial pick up Freeview well?

I want to get Freeview and want to know if a suitable Loft Aerial will receive the signals properly. (Presumably there is no need to mount a Roof Aerial when you switch from receiving analogue to Freeview.)

it should do i have a loft aerial and freeview and it works really well.no probs at all. i live in bournemouth it works well.
good luck....
when i done a post code check i according to them i couldnt even get bbc1 but i did and a lot more.
