When pebble dashing small areas to make good after fitting windows, how do you 'pick' the correct colour mortar. Mines quite a common sandy colour.

If you use white cement with the dashing, you'll get a white result. If you use ordinary portland cement, it will be grey. It's almost impossible to get wet dashing to match up with existing because it will depend on the cement content used in the original.
