how to restart brittony combi after overflow disaster!?

When filling the boiler to bring up the pressure the water suddenly gushed in flooded everywhere and in the panic I turned everything off. I dojn't have the instructions for my boiler so don't know how to restart it. If I just turn the electric switch on there is now a red light at the top of the display and heating not coming on. Do I have to press reset?

Thanks. Was just letting water into the boiler to bring the pressure up. Have had an engineer out to look at it now, but thanks for your offer of help

Before commenting, how did you spill the water?
How were you topping up your water?

What is the Make & model of your boiler, if I have the manual
I will post my email address so you can contact me for it.

Make sure all your electrics are bone dry before attempting to restart boiler (use a hair dryer if you have too)
