There is little that will work on current Freeview or Free to View boxes to unlock channels in the way that the old ITV/OnDigital would work.
However, rumours are rife that hackers have got the jist of the TopUpTV codec and associated programming. Highly illegal, but you might want to try switching your Freeview box (cardslot model or not) to a blank TopUpTV channel (ie one you haven't the right to view without a card) (Doesn't work on NE boxes)
Press Select and type '001'[and then the model number of your box-ignore what make it is] Little will happen immediately.
Turn back to a Free to view channel (BBC/Sky Travel etc)
Press select again and this time type '90164***' - the stars should be replaced with the last three digits of your box's serial number, which will be printed on a white sticker at the back of your unit or on the base.
Then switch the unit off. Wait a few seconds and... hey presto, you've hacked into TopUpTV. Keep it under your hat. Like I said at the beginning, it might not work, cos it doesn't work on NE boxes. Best check with your manifacturer to see if you've bought NE old boxes. The newer ones are more compatible with the codes.
