thomson recordable freeview box/freeview signal help pls?

it cost us £100 & all of a sudden has started skipping & there are lines on EVERY channel! HOWEVER we swithched it to a tv with freeview built in & still have the same trouble???
have used aerial booster but still no luck :(

am now sat in silence!!!

I brought two thomsom freeveiw boxes in july last year from Aldi and both have just stopped working, will not change from amber light please can you advise. Though I have tried everything the manuel says.
