please help when i press start menu a drum noise happens?

it happens when i press start and sometimes when i click off something any ideas ??

Hi Dawn - the settings for these sounds can be changed. Go to "START" "CONTROL PANEL" "SOUNDS & AUDIO DEVICES" and at the top click on the tab labeled "SOUNDS"

All the ones that show a little speaker in front of them are set to play. Just scroll down the list and when you find one you want to change, left click on it and a little window will open. If you scroll to the top you can select "None". Go through the list and make all the changes you want. Once your done click "Apply" and you're done. Hope this helps!

Try this goto Control Panel click on Sounds and check what actions are associated with what sounds. You might have it set so that when you click on start it will make a sound. if you scoll down on sound you can pick None
