who do you unlock a transonic TV?

my transonic TV has a blue screen with no sound Just a logo of a locked pad lock down the bottom left. how do i unlock it.
none of the buttons work.

These Transonics TVs are infamous for self-locking and irreversible.
The answer, after trying out EVERYTHING suggested on the internet with no joy - - get yourself a Set Top Box and tune in AV or the alternative channel and bingo, you have got all channels on Digital.
Worked for me and I had only one channel free, but that didn't matter as you tune to AV. I was ready to toss the thing onto the tip !!!

ive tried that but my remote doesnt have a "DISP" button on it what else do you do?

Push and hold the button "DISP" for about 5 seconds and the lock will toggle on and off

to unlock your tv you have to press and hold down a button on the remote, sorry cant remember which but i am sure it wont take you long to try all.
