it will run on gas. The green switch lights up when pressed. The 12v switch does nothing. The fridge doesnt freeze.

The wiring of some caravans only allow the 12v. to work from the towing vehicle, and this should be only when the engine is running. Using 12v. will flatten a battery in a very short time
