Panasonic DMR-HS2 DVD door stuck closed?

How can I manually open DVD door or repair problem.
The motor seems to run normally.

Glad its not just mine. Something is catching as it tries to open. I find a short sharp tap on top of the case does the trick. Not the right answer I know, but I never seem to get round to fixing it permenantly
