vaillant turbomax vuw 242/1e ignition problem?

my vaillant turbomax 242/1e constantly switches itself off,and the auto ignition goes into lockout,(there is no set time or pattern to this ).it ignites manually every time, the engineer has replaced numerous parts but the problem still persists.i don't think he can solve the problem, and it's driving me mad.please help!

You should switch off vaillant, open it, open steel plate and disconnect blue pipe for a while ...
Sometimes there is drop of water in it or dirtiness.
If you don't want to do it - you can try to fix it by hitting a round device at the top of vaillant (visible from above) + there are two pipes connected to this. The blue one is responsible for the problem.

Its a big shit I have the same problem and tink to rip of the vaillant of the wall. Vaillant never again.
I will take a Junkers hopely its better.
Vaillant came to us and change each time parts.
Vaillant service is not abel to salve the problem !!!

Did your engineer replace the electrodes / flame rectification sensor? If not they should be replaced or at the very least cleaned and re-set to the correct gap (4mm/ width of a pound coin)

It sounds like the flame rectification cannot recognise the flame picture and shuts down the burner, it then tries automatically to light the burner 3 or 5 times (depending on which pcb you have) then goes to lockout.

no,not a single answer.my service engineer advised me to contact valliant directly, but all they seem to want is for me to take a service contract out with them.
