I have a Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 that willl run through a cycle and fill but wont empty or spin. Is it the pump that needs replacing or something else?

Had similar problem with Zanussi Machine. The filter to pump was clogged with soap and material. There should be a flap at base of machine to front. Unscrew large plastic cap and withdraw. Wash under hot water and replace. Usually is pump filter. Timer/Programme cycle modules very rarely go wrong.

could be pump but remove it before buying a new one and check that nothing is jammed in it
