Thermostat or heating element?

I have a beko wma10w w/m, and am not getting hot water. The wash cycle runs ok to completion.

How do I determine if the thermostat or the heating element needs replacing?

check the element with a multimeter.should be 20-30 ohms approx.never had a stat fail on these but theres always a first
