worcester highflow 400 electronic - hot water question?

I have just bought a property with the above heating system. I understand this is a combi boiler, however in the instructions it is suggesting I program the Hot water to come on at certain times in the day, like you would like do with the central heating.
To work as a combi, do I need to leave the hot water on constant? If so, is this a costly way of doing it?

the highflow 400 has a large heat store in the boiler you will see it wrapped in silver insulation this is full of hot water and it is this that is used for hot water to your taps and is topped up when you open the tap this feature gives a better flow rate for hot water. if this house is empty between 9 and 5 say then why have it on

you have to leave it on constant it the only way combi work.It wont be expensive to run because it has only a small heatbank to heat up.It works when you open a hot tap it fires your boiler up for hot water.Hope this helps
