Sylvania 6427TE 27" Stereo TV does not turn on?

TV will not turn on? Outlets are fine, electronics on same power surge protecter still running fine. Opened TV up to check power fuse... it was blown. Went to RadioShack purchased new 125v 4 amp fuses, and replaced fuse. Plugged in TV, tried to turn on and nothing? Opened back case again, fuse was blown? Tried it 1 more time same result. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this problem? TV is 5-6 months old. Thank You.

I tried with the back case off and it tried to power on and the tube flashed, but the fuse blew right away!

This is not an answer, but my 6427TE just did the same thing (Dec 11, 2005) except that the fuse is not blown - ohm meter shows zero resistance.

So there is something else wrong in the power supply section. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement board?
