hi i have a 16 22 boiler myself with the same problem and it fires up after a gentle thump to the bottom of the boiler which is where the circuit board is located.i suspect a bad connection on the board and if so re soldering all connections on the board may solve the problem otherwise may be a case of replacing th board.i hope to find out when i try the first option this weekend.i am not corgi registered and this is only my personal experiance but if it is of any help good luck

when fan starts do you here the aps switch make (one click when fan starts) would say the problem lies there, either the aps switch is faulty or the flue blocked/partially bocked (check the terminal is not overgrown or something outside) aps tubes spilt, of fan itself not getting to speed and needs replacing
