add soa tmething to my traditional fuse box to convert one of the fuses to?

we have a traditional fuse box where the light fuse keeps blowing due to some halogen lights in the kitchen. I have been told there is something i can buy where I can convert this particular fuse to a trip so we donnot have to keep changing the fuse wire and just push back in

Many thanks

You would probably be better upgrading to a new cosumer unit with rcd's/mcb's by the sound of it your house could do with a rewire

That is called fixing the symptom not the fault. Your fuse is currently doing its job, namely stopping your house from catching fire. That fact that it blowing so often indicates that you are running too much current over the circuit

What you need is an electrician not a circuit breaker.

BTW in the UK , by law, as the work will be carried out in the kitchen and/or on a kitchen circuit you have to have Competent Person. It is not a DIY job.
