Thank you so much for simple instructions and your technical brilliance! I was just looking up TV repair shops but thought I would give Google a try with my plight and eventually, after much trawling & answers offered but pay a fee up front, (I think not!) I came across this very long list of gratitude! I found your answer at the end of this long list but I am delighted to now be one of your grateful following!! Have a great weekend.

Julie, August 2012
you are brilliant, my tv got stuck exactly the same after the digital switchover yesterday. Tried your fix, took about 4 or 5 goes but then worked amazingly!! Why can't more questions be answered so simply. xx

Thank you sooo much, our tv was stuck on E4, menu buttons didn't work on the tv or remote, the only thing that worked was the volume button and the power button.
I had to follow your instructions 4 times but I stuck with it and it finally worked.

hi, I have a samsung LE40R73BDX/XEU 40" lcd tv.
It had got stuck on ch4 in digital mode and the Digital setup Menu could not be selected.
The analogue menu & channels worked fine.
Only the digital channels could not be changed.

I used your solution & the problem has cleared.
Many thanks for your solution.

Saeed, January 2010
The combination did the trick from the first time but i'm still stuck changing channels. It takes more than 40 minutes to change channel in dtv mode. In analog mode there's no issue at all and switching source aint a problem either. Can't get in D.Menu or anything either. Anyone knows how this could possibly come?

Thierry, December 2009

Any idea why this problem occurs? Our TV is a few years old first noticed channels sticking then slow to react. Then tried re-tuning lost several channels found others now seem to have problem finding ITV 4 & 5!!

Phil C, November 2008
We've just had this very same problem with our Samsung LE26R73BD & tried this sequence - it also worked after about the 6th attempt - ACE ADVICE!!!!

D Wilson, November 2008
Amazing advice, we've been struggling for 5 days with our tv, this sorted it out first time.

AJ, October 2008
power on; power off; info; menu; mute; power on
works a treat.

PHEW!

had to do it half a dozen times before the engineer's menu came up, but then it's easy to go down to option 12 and go left.
Then just power on and you are in the initial Plug and Play setup menu.

GWW57, September 2008
i have just reset my tv doing what they told me, it was easy and takes less than a few minutes

alan oakley, June 2008
Hello there R Brown,
you can reset your TV back to factory settings and just retune your DTV, its just like when you first got your TV, I see its the LE32R74BD,
All you need to do is
1 turn the TV into Standby
2 press these keys one after another
(info) (menu) (mute) (power)
The TV is back on and you are in the service MENU.
Now press your down arrow key until you get to number 12 on the on screen options,
It’s marked RESET.
Push the arrow key to the right, this will switch off your TV and reset it back to when you first got it.
Turn the TV back on and retune it. its very simple.
You might need to setup the TV custom options if you changed any. like your colour or contrast.
I hope this helps you.
ps please dont touch the other settings in the service menu because you need to know what you are doing to adjust these.
