Fan error, IBM Thinkpad?

I've got an IBM T41p Thinkpad which was working fine yesterday, but now I'm getting 'Fan Error' when I switch it on, and then it shuts down. Help! Any suggestions?

blow some air on the fan then restart you machine
after this you might press on the blue key named Thinkvantange then follow the instruction

It sounds like the fan that goes on top of the micro[processor has a problem. Fitting a new one is not really a DIY project. However you could try giving the ThinkPad a gentle bash to try to free the fan up.
