I have a Kenmore Series 70 Washer. The cold water runs into the tub continuously even when the washer is turned off. Goes thru each cycle just fine, but cold water never stops running in. Hot water control works fine. Anyone out there that can help me? Thanx.

JP ~ hi ~ thank you so much for responding. I did have some work done on my outside water line (cleanout installed) and that is when the problem seemed to have started. So are you saying that it is an external problem rather than something in the washer malfunctioning, or is that valve problem indeed inside the washer? Thanx again!

This certainly sounds like a bad water supply valve got stuck open with some sediment in it.
