Any ideas - fault on Diplomat ADP8242?

The dishwasher has decided to go on strike. The second light (delicate wash) remains on whilst the fifth light (intensive wash) flashes. I am unable to change the programme and have tried resetting it. Needless to say it does not work and I may just resort to slamming the door really hard to see if I can break something.
I did have a similar problem with the machine two years ago and the circuit board was replaced, but just can't remeber which lights were on/flashing.
Any advice please?

According to the manual this means:
"The dishwasher has loaded to much water and the saftey level switch has been tripped. Repeat the cycle. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service."
"The washing program must be set again to continue."
