kenmore progressive beltless on/off switch stuck?

The on/off switch on my kenmore progressive beltless vacuum is frozen in the off position.

Wow this is old but your handle is probably broken. you need to remove your handle and re glue it. This is the best vacuum in the world. I have mended mine for many years and have bought not ONE stinkin belt!
