I have the Technika DVD1033 and, at first, it worked fine, but now I have sound okay, but the picture is distorted (sort of diagonal across the screen) and flickering. The problem is not the scart connection, as I've tried a different one, with the same result. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is the DVD player just worthy of the dustbin?

That sounds like interferance to me, did you keep the reciept from tesco? there very good at exchagning items from a while back or will give you a refund.

If by anychance you have another dvd player, try plugging that into the same tv first to see if you have the same problem.
