I'm having the same issue. The boiler has been leaking slowly and losing pressure over the past few weeks. I've refilled it as necessary using the blue knob underneath but today when trying to refill it absolutely nothing happens.
I'd like to try fixing this myself if possible and am more that prepared to give it a go. Aza - your escription is the best that I have found so far but would you have any pictures too? My email is fmmpb (at) hotmail (.) com.
Thanks

Hi all, Ive tried this and it works to the next part of the pipe which is like a saftey bleed and the water runs out of that,
What is causing it i need it to go intothe boiler!! its only showing 0.7 bar

The switch which controls the water is made of plastic and normally stops working after some time.I had the same problem last month.Unclip the pipe by pulling it away from the valve after shutting the mains water supply to the boiler. Use a needle or small screwdriver and push the ball down, make sure you have unwinded the valve first.Connect the pipe back on and turn the water supply it should do the trick. After you have filled in the water to desired setting normally 1 bar stop the valve. You will notice the valve will get stuck once more if you try to open the valve again.Make sure you bleed the tank in the boiler before you wind the valve, if not the pressure will drop once the air is bleede afterwards and you will be repeating the whole process again.Get a new valve and replace its very simple.
Hope this helps you, good luck.
