how can i fix my roof?

what size joist should i use to support a 25m2 tiled roof

this is indeed a complex question.... i would hold fast on calling in the engineers yet though.... if you go to a good timber yard, they will design and warranty new roof trusses for you. these are incredibly easy to fix and as long as you dont alter tehm in any way, the warranty will guarantee the load capabilities. as a good general guage, 6"X2" at 16" (400mm) centres should be ok but see my previous note....

Usually 6" x 2" min. You don't say if it's existing which is sagging or it's going to be a new roof. In either case you need to have advice from a structural engineer who will tell you exactly what to do. You can't get advice over the net it needs to be seen to decide on what is needed. You could go to your local library but you still need some experience in roof work.
