Why does our flame not stay lit?

We have a Baxi Combi 80e Boiler who's flame never stays lit, we have to put the dial to reset and put the gas and water on constant to get the flame to ignite. We never have instant hot water or the facility of having the heating on the timer. This happens in all weathers so we know it isn't the wind blowing back through the vent. Any idea what is wrong, is it fixable, and how much could it cost. Thanks

Hi
We don't have hot water on demand at all. When you turn the hot water tap on, nothing happens in the boiler, no sounds etc, nothing.

The red light on the front of the boiler constantly keeps flashing (this is the light that says there is problems with the flame) The system is dead apart from when we reset and put it on constant.

If you were to go to it now, there will be no hot water coming out and the boiler will just have the red light flashing.

we need more info on whats happening detail wise, ie what happens on domestic hot water demand.

does the boiler recognise demand, pump run fan run flame light then extinguish? does it keep retrying?????

boiler does not have pilot it lights on demand so draught not problem
