what does spool32 mean?

Everytime i log onto the internet a message comes up saying spool32 has caused an error in unknown. I dont know what this message means and i think it might be some sort of spy ware i also get similare messages to this and i think they may be harming my pc. I have spybot search and destroy and ad aware and they never seem to do any thing about them. Can any body out there tell me what they mean and how to get rid of them?

Spool32 is to do with your printer and how it handles print jobs. However, many spyware/viruses imitate legitimate windows files, so without further info I cannot be sure. For now we will assume it is a legit windows file. Try this. I think this option is only available in widows XP. Go to start, and click on run. A small dialogue box should come up. Type into it 'sfc /scannow' without the quotes. Note the space before the forward slash. Click run. You will be asked for your original windows disc. The system may not recognise the disc. Things then become a little more complicated. I will not go into it here, but if you have problems, contact me at smiling.carcass@virgin.net. Basically, sfc /scannow checks windows files against the originals and repairs or replaces them with the originals.
