Hi, We are using Tromm Front Load Washing machine one night. When we started the machine, we still heard the usual beeping sound it makes when you push the buttons. We then left it while doing its magic. After a while, we noticed that the laundry is taking too long than it normally takes to finish. We found out that its already done but didn't make any beeping/alarm sounds. When we load the second batch of clothes, the buttons are not making any sounds anymore. Hope you can help me fix it.

Casey, I too have the same problem. I bought mine in January 2008. I have been told by LG that they made some that operate this way. The repair man that came out said that LG said it was a certain serial numbers that were affected. I talked to a manager at LG and they just kept saying "it is designed that way - it's not a defect". They won't say it's a defect - but it is and LG is trying to cover it up. Why in the world would you "design" it that way. I was curious to know just how many of these washers are affected. you are the first person I have found on the net that I have read about. You can't get the chimes to stay on without constantly resetting the beeper button every few washes and as I am sure you know too these front loaders are stinky - and you need to get the clothes out ASAP after they are done to keep the mildew problem at bay. I'm furious about it and have already lost my cool with LG on the phone when they basically stonewalled me but I am going down swinging on this one. If you get any resolution on your end let me know.
