1. Check the SCART plug is in properly (both ends) you could also try changing the SCART cable.
2. If your Freeview box has other outputs try seeing if the audio comes out of them, look for audio coax phono plugs (RCA type in USA) , or 3.5mm jack plug (or 2.5mm jack plug) these are the headphone kind, or if you have a TV coax output (the usual TV aerial kind - known sometimes as Belling Lee type). If none of these give an audio take the Freeview box back to the shop you bought it from.
