kenmore 90 series washer?

Have a kenmore 90 series model washer model # 110-23812100. The lid switch broke on it but before I could get to it and find out what happen, my mother-in-law so kindly started monkey around with it and kept playing with the timer. Well of course I fixed the lid switch thinking all was kosher but of course another problem developed. No matter what water level you set it on the water just keeps filling up. Now I have tried replacing the water level switch but that didn't fix it.I switch the wires on the solenoid thinking maybe a solenoid was sticking nope didn't work. Now I tried turning the dial on the timer to get the water to go out but it just keeps filling. Is there a reset on these timers or is the timer just shorted.

Brian...just recently the clear plastic tube that connects to the fill level switch (behind the front panel) had become disconnected from the switch...so my washer kept filling...and unfortunately flooded part of my house.

Fix was simple...slip the tube back onto the fill level switch...and I secured it using a stainless steel hose clamp so that it will never come off again.

Have had washer for ~5 years...and hose finally worked its way off since it was friction-fit only.

Hello,

If you unplug or turn the washer off does it stop filling then? I would also check the tube on the water pressure switch to make sure it is not cracked.
