I have a brand new Indesit D41 dishwasher, unfortunatley it has been in storage (in original packing and totally unused) for over 2 years and therefore Indesit will not deal with any problems. Its been plumbed in for the first time and turned on - after a few seconds the first error light starts to flash, according to Indesit this means there is water in the base pan - but they won't tell me how to rectify the problem - can u help!?

I had the SAME problem myself recently and THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! 5 minutes before my husband totally lost the plot with the dishwasher and was attempting to drag it out into the garden and go at the damned thing with a sledgehammer I found your answer and it worked!!!!!!! Hi, I had this problem. You have to turn it over on its and take the bottom tray of. you will see a switch with a round float under it. Make shore the tray is dry and the float is down.
This should sort it out.
