I have a 3 yr old Hotpoint WF 840 washing machine. Despite regular maintenance washes I am left with small greasy spots on my washing. The machine has no filter apparently (I can't find it). It will cost £90 just to have it looked at by Hotpoint and I don't want to throw money away on it. Any suggestions?

All I can suggest is to remove+clean the soap powder dispensing tray and give the drum and front rubber panel a good clean using lemon cbased cleaner.
