Hi Evan, I too have a dilemma with the same model AWA PDC-61001 TV/DVD player and that's because my 2 year old son lost our remote control and I've search the house upside down over the last three weeks to no avail. Unfortunately I cant use controls on front panel to access DVD menus of his DVDs. Being very slim I think I picked it up with the recycling papers and its now at the tip. I have been in touch with AWA in Seaford in Melbourne to get replacement remote control to no avail, so I thought I'd try the internet and not having any luck either unless some one turfs there out and thats how I found your question. I have the user guide in front of me. In the troubleshooting page there is no answer they only refer to scenarios if unit cant play disc etc etc. If you would like page emailed let me know just put in subject line AWA PDC61001 so I don't trash it and send too: lindacleary@hotmail.com.
