there is a pool off water at the bottom off my hotwater tank will it need replaced are can it be fixed

you've mentioned nothing about system type but....

stop being silly and get someone to look at it!!! if its your hot water cylinder then you may have 200 litres of 60-70 degree water waiting to escape in one go. You may just have a leak from a connecting pipe but f*ckin hell, safety first always!!!!!!!!!!!
