does anybody have any idea if i can tape from my freeview box and how?

does any body know how to take off the not rec button.ive locked it some how and i dont know how to unlock it.its driving me crazy.....one more thing does anybody know how to set up the whole thing.

try pressing the lock button or rec button for 20 sec, recording from freeview, ummm duno, but if its scarts , and the video has 2 scarts try freeview into vcr the vcr to tv using the scarts. thats how i do it in my skybox, rgerads mark

Thanks Shaun....you sound like you know what your on about.my freeview box does have 2 scart sockets but my tv doent unfortunatly.i will try it if i can.cheers.

You will need to have 2 SCART sockets on your freeview box. One should be connected to your TV, The other to your VCR, or DVD. Most VCRs have a channel dedicated to SCART (AV) inputs. Having recorded you can then playback in your pevious manner, or if you prefer, via an additional SCART connection to your TV from your VCR. Most TVs have at least 2 SCART sockets these days. Some early Freeview boxes only had one SCART socket, in which case you are stymied.
