My Hitachi 57G500A projection tv was working fine one day and the next day when we turned it on all we got on was the red power button. No picture, no volume bars, not even snow or static when we disconnected the cable. What could be the problem?

Check and see if a circuit breaker is in the back of your tv. If there is one press on it as if you were ringing a doorbell. If the tv comes on great. If you hear the circuit breaker "click" and you still have nothing, there is a short in your set. Take it to a repair station. If there is no circuit breaker you probably have a blown fuse in the power supply. Take it to a repair shop.
