My JVC KD-G331 Cd Player Won't Work in Clio (X reg)?

I bought the JVC KD-G331 CD Player 5 months ago for my Peugeot 106 quiksilver(Xreg) which worked fine, ive now got a renault clio 1.4 sport (X 2000 reg). It came with the standard cassette player, ive tried countless times to fit my JVC in my clio however when its all plugged in all that happens is when i press eject it says eject on the screen and ejects the disc. Also if i press 'display' the clock will come up for 1 second and thats ALL that happens, Ive tried moving the pins in the connections but to no luck. The cd player is not faulty as sent it off to JVC and it was also tested at halfords.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Can you help me and explain what i need to do?
(the fuses are fine)

Any help will be great

ive checked all the wiring and the leads from the clio are Black, Blue, Yellow/ Purple stripe, Red/ Purple Stripe and double Purple one.
The JVC leads are:
Brown: Telephone muting option
Red: Accessory
Yellow: Battery
Black: Ground
Blue/ White Stripe: Remote

*ive connected the jvc yellow to the clio red which is the only postion to get power, and from there i dont know where the wires go, ive tried move them about to no luck.
