Problem with Potterton Netaheat 10/16?

Fans starts on demand, but boiler fails to fire. Pressure switch does not operate, but will operate when I blow down the tube and the boiler then fires OK. Is this a faulty pressure switch or a fault casing seal?

On the Netaheat, there is a brass restrictor in one of the air pressure hoses behind the drop down panel, there is a very small hole in the centre of this that is prone to blocking.

thats a good point as it makes a lot of difference which is quite decieving. is it the baxi eco which distorts them fluantly due to lack of overrun?

have you checked the venturi is clean and clear (and has not been over heated and lost it's shape?

failing that, fan must be going!

assuming you have ruled out what Iain has suggested below!

I've tried that. The tube from the casing to the pressure switch seems to be clear and there is a pressure coming from the pipe coming out of the casing. I'm thinking that either the pressure coming out of the casing is insufficient to operate the pressure switch, hence it could be the seal, or the pressure is OK and the switch is faulty. Any ideas?

i would of said blockage between fan and tube to switch. if it operates when you blow down tube then fan is failing to make switch either blockage, fan running too slow, fan fluffed up etc etc

thats where i would start anyhoo
