My Cuisinart DCC-2000 is leaking coffee left in carafe after shut off?

Is anyone else having a problem with their coffeemaker leaking through the valve after it is shut off? If there is any coffee at all left in the carafe after it is shut off, it leaks into the tray and then overflows all over my counter. It's the Cuisinart Model # CUI DCC-2000. It's about 2.5 years old at this point and other than that problem, I love it. I'm assuming the valve needs replacing, but didn't know if this was a known issue

same issue this is the third one my wife has
purchased,always the same thing after 1 1/2 - 2 years.
I'll try cleaning the seal.

I had this machine. It quit working. But when it did leak I cleaned the rubber plug in the coffee caraff by running my fingernail around it to remove built up coffee and grinds so that the plug would hold snuggly against the caraff again and it stops it from leaking. Good luck.

Same problem with me, brand new from Bed Bath Beyond but I threw away the receipt and box...

What a piece of garbage

We too are having a similar problem with our DCC-2000. Ours in less than a year old. I'm looking for an answer as well.
