My Inovix Mp3 player has full memory with nothing in it, how do I delete?

My Inovix Mp3 player keeps saying it has 90%+ Memory filled up with nothing in it x.x Can someone help me? >.<

How do I empty all that invisible junk?

The RdiskUtility is the safest way to format the memory. The filesystem is FAT16.

Make certain that you have the correct device driver installed. Use the control panel to examine the driver that is installed and install the correct driver from the CD if it is not the right one for the job.

If the memory does not format using the RdiskUtility then you should reflash the firmware, using the supplied CD. Follow the instructions in the manual to the letter or you will kill the player and things start to get very tricky indeed. Make certain you select the correct firmware file! Do not hit the Download button until you are absolutely sure.

If you kill the player as a result of a bad flash all is not lost. You can easy access the NAND memory in the Inovix and restore communication with the outside world. But perhaps this should wait till you have tried the above suggestions.

All this assumes that the player is not faulty apart from the firmware. I have restored an Inovix from almost total lack of communication to full functionality, so the answer is to avoid doing basically silly things and have faith that it is going to work again.

Check the obvious, stuck buttons etc. The electronics appear to be bulletproof!

Same here bud. Tried the supplied formatting tool but this just hangs (using Win2K pro).

Tried formatting with explorer format - did not work so formatted NTFS (failed) then again in FAT32 which works ... well got 320 MB anyway.

Web site, http://www.wilson.co.ltd.xfou.com/, has new firmware...might try this sometime as still get occasional switch to Chinese.

Mines is the same bro. I got the same problem. And sometimes langhuage changes to chinese. I even tried formatting it several times with no joy.
