Zanussi WJD 1257 stuck in wash cycle?

My Zanussi WJD 1257 gets stuck in the wash cycle and won't progress. Remaining minutes stay at 49 and it continues to wash on this cycle indefinitely.

I had the same issue (stuck at 48 minutes on quick wash) and have just found that the element is faulty, so cheers for the tip

heating element could of blown and isn't heating the water so machine continues to wash
