How can I use my TV without an aerial socket in the TV?

My aerial socket in my TV is not working. This is because I did have it connected to the aerial socket in the wall of my living room using a standard cable, the cable snapped at the TV end and when trying to pull out the bit remaining in my TV, this has damaged my socket. Is there anyway around this without buying a new TV?

as said above would be the safest method...you don't want to get zapped!!!

A TV repairer ought to be able to fit a new socket. DO NOT go poking about inside the TV yourself. There are potentially lethal voltages in there.
