how can i change language back to English?

I have a 3rd generation, 4 gb, mp4/mp3 player that i mistakenly reset and is now in Chinese. Does anyone know how to change it back to English? It's a generic brand.

find system settings
choose the 4th line then
choose the 2nd line.
that is the english.
