If you buy a power inverter for the car from Maplin you can then run the dvd player from the mains lead in the car

Durabrand is a WallMart/Asda Own brand and so your box could have been made any anyone. Try WallMart/Asda.

Or you could ask for a universal adapter at Radio Shack or Circuit City in the US or Maplins in the UK.
