hi too all i can help u that how to edit the window xp start button text, download reshack link in description and unzip the file, then open reshacker file open and look for explorer.exe open string table

edit the text at start to anything you want.
compile script
save as a example.exe then open run and type regedit then goto HKEY_lOCAL_MACHIEN\SOFTWARE MICROSOFT WINDOW NT\CURRENT VERSION\WINLOGON AND CLICK ON SHELL change explorer,exe to example.exe
OK
CTRL+ALT+DELETE
end process explorer.exe
file run browse example.exe
and done hope it helped you

im assuming you mean the user name thats is displayed at the top of the start menu pop-up. to change thats use
Start>>control panel >>User Accounts
pick the account your want to change
then pick change name
